Elemica is the channel for automated system-to-system (ERP to ERP) transaction processing. Instead of maintaining individual connections to each customer, BASF has chosen a single efficient connection to Elemica for the exchange of order related data. Since each Elemica partner only need to maintain just one connection and one data format, using Elemica greatly simplifies ERP to ERP communication. Working like a telephone exchange, Elemica links data from all connected companies via their network.
Following the philosophy of “Connect Once – Connect All” it is now possible to exchange standardized order information via the Elemica Network with all network partners.

ELEMICA Connected Solution ™ stands for a comfortable full automation of processes through the system connection via Elemica. Using present messages – from „order create“ to „invoice“ perfectly supports the order process. Due to electronic transmission of information a multiple data entry is avoided, the error rate is reduced, the order process is accelerated and the working time is shortened. There are further areas of application along the whole value chain, such as transport management including international shipping documents.

ELEMICA Buyer Direct ™ (EBD) is the „Light Connectivity“ to the Elemica Network. It is an easy and cost efficient solution which facilitates the transmission of orders to BASF electronically via Elemica even though the customer has no extensive ERP-system or a business-to business infrastructure. Furthermore EBD is an easy and cheap entry into the eCommerce world and if required can be extended into a full-integration with Elemica.
By using an EBD connection with Elemica you can automate a variety of purchasing and sales processes. In contrast to a full-connection you will receive incoming information such as order confirmation or shipment notice via e-mail and the BASF portal WorldAccount.
